Phoenix Desert Engagement • Danielle & Curtis • Phoenix, Arizona
Seven years ago, Danielle and Curtis shouldn’t have met. They both attended a catholic mission trip building houses (which I still think is so indicative to the type of people they are!). Although they were from different towns, they shouldn’t have been assigned to the same work group. Normally people from the same state aren’t assigned together, but Danielle and Curtis were. And that’s where everything started. While building one of their houses, they were missing a ladder. Since Curtis was/is so much taller than Danielle (6’4” to her 5’4”), it just seemed like the most opportune thing to use him as a ladder to paint the side of the house instead of trying to find one. After that mission trip, the two of them were inseparable. They both went to the same college and eventually moved out to the Phoenix desert to follow their career goals.

During their desert engagement session, it was clear that Curtis and Danielle are head over heels in love. They were so kind to each other and were up for literally anything I asked them to do. And all the while they were following my prompts and directions for photos, they were always supportive of each other. And most importantly they never let the other one go.
Danielle and Curtis,
Danielle and Curtis, I absolutely loved spending the evening with you during your desert engagement session. I can’t wait for the life the two of you will lead. You both have the best hearts and I know that you will use it to continue helping others. And I know without a shadow of a doubt that, just like when you were young, the two of you will be each other’s ladders. You will continue to support and lift each other up. Thank you for sharing your love story with me. I can’t wait until you make it officially official when you guys get married next year!
